In 1987 Levi 167 recorded a solo 12″ on B-Boy Records named “Something fresh to swing to” with “Something for the other side” (On the other side of the 12″)
I remember when this droped, what I thought was so dope about it was 1. His name was Levi … I originally thought he was going to rap about Jeans, like My Adidas, My Girl, My Benz, etc
and 2. When the song actualy droped, how he said “Dope” with the beat in the beginning … I was sold then
I dont know what happened to him after these songs dropped but the songs live on here at Encyclopedia Hip Hop …
