Can’t wait to hear this one! We’ve got some lovely parting gifts for you.

I remember when Richard Dawson uses to chain smoke on Match Game. Never thought much of it as a kid, but seems kind of funny now. They also used to serve the celebrity guest alcohol too.

Make sure listen to the OT. We cover more shows like sports trivia and game show skits on SNL. Oops… didn’t get the hosts okay before mentioning that, oh well.

Ok, first of all I laugh my ass off everytime you come in your theme music with the “podcast”. Love that. lol

Price is Right is tops when it comes to game shows. Bob Barker = Legendary. Almost all the pricing games are
fun as hell and memorable. My favorite Barker Beauty was Holly btw. Not sure exactly why but definitely Holly.
Rod Roddy was one of the best game show announcers of all time too. I know Johnny Olson was before him and coined
the “Come on Down” phrase, but Rod had the look and charisma and took it above and beyond. My favorite games
were any pricing games with the products (little debbie snack cakes), obviously Plinko and the Cliffhangers game,
the Dice game. They were all good. There’s only a few that actually suck. BTW, I have the Price is Right game for
Xbox 360 and it’s awesome. It has every pricing game on there from 1972-2012 and clips to go along with them.

Top 3 pervin/pimpin hosts were definitely:

    1)Bob Barker (Beauty harassment)
    2)Richard Dawson (Serial kisser)
    3)Chuck Woolery (Dirty matchmaker/cockblocker)

  • http://twitter.com/Count_Marzo Marzo Kalif (@Count_Marzo)

Chuck Woolery got a lot dirtier during his Lingo years even. He was always doing subliminal innuendo with his hot
sidekick hostess and the contestants. He would always be like “Reach in there and grab yourself a couple of balls” LOL!

Definitely remember the Michael Larson Press Your Luck documentary. Definitely interesting and worth watching Unemployed ice cream truck driver from Ohio! LOL! My favorite Whammie was the Boy George one too! That was the whole reason for watching that show.

My favorite host for Card Sharks is Jim Perry over Bob Eubanks. He also hosted $ale of the Century. Glad you
gave that show it’s props. Loved $ale of the Century! My Grandma had the home game of it. There’s lots of episodes
on YouTube if you ever wanna get an 80s game show fix. I’m subscribed to like all the crazy game show dudes on there.

Like I said on Twitter, I’ll take Peter Tomarken’s 1988 Wipeout game show over the one where the people get knocked
into the water. That was a great game show with the way it’s set up. Also a few full episodes on YouTube.’

  • http://twitter.com/Count_Marzo Marzo Kalif (@Count_Marzo)

Family Feud is another great game show. One of the greatest. It was great when they had celebrity teams, especially
WWF wrestlers and such. Ray Combs was awesome. I think he was actually my favorite Feud host but I gotta give Dawson his props for being the original.

Definitely remember when Wheel of Fortune was a bit different back in the day. They ALWAYS had that ceramic Dalmation statue amongst the prizes. Remember that thing? Also Wheel of Fortune had the BEST commercial promos for any game show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0EIj_vNH-E Case dismissed.

Kids game shows were lots of fun too. Nickelodeon ran that genre. The only decent ones that weren’t run by Nickelodeon were random ones hosted by J.D. Roth. FunHouse (Double Dare rip off) and Masters of the Maze. Remember that one? Early 90s I believe. Anyways Double Dare was #1 didn’t matter if it was Super Sloppy, Family, or what. Finder Keepers was runner up. I could watch those all day. In fact I used to on the Nick GAS channel. Carmen Sandiego is another non-Nickelodeon kids show up there as well.

I HATE Deal or No Deal. The only reason to watch that is for the models. It’s just a bunch of random number picking. No thought or anything to it. Just hope. Definitely not a fan.

I could go on and on and on about game shows…so I’m gonna stop myself here. I’ve rambled enough. lol!

Bro, I’m so glad I heard you on the Tanks and Fogs podcast. You had me cracking up, but your podcast is the shit. I thoughts was the only one that used to read those pick your own adventure books.

Same with the game shows. Love Family Feud. Not really a game show, but I always wanted to rock that ping ping in the bucket game on Bozo.

And yeah, your theme music is the shit! Consider me a fan.
