First of all, what took them so damn long to put out the show…might’ve been a little better to do it somewhere close to after the election…

It appears this is the FIRST show in the history of reality shows that has more eye candy for the women than men…cuz so far eww

damn… i knew you were going to tear it apart but wow… hating hating hating… first… brooke might be the prettiest… but she also wears the most make-up… ridiculous amounts of make-up… also one of the chicks… that I aint naming… aint nearly as young as she says… definitely not in her twenties though… people are hating on how boring the show was, well this show is not flavor of love, its suppose to show young black renaissance people trying to make their dreams come true in NYC. I’ll be watching the show because I like to see all the black businesses that I frequent on the regular on a national scale.

The scene in the winery Harlem Vintage… and that is my spot… was ridiculously fake… Me knowing a couple of the people I am kinda biased as far as their behavior. Jason hands down is the most real, actually all the dudes are real, all of them act like that in real life… the women are there for the cameras and it shows. Them women are going to be the ones in the middle of all the drama to make the show interesting enough for people to continue to watch and the men are going to prove their the real go-getters.

Quite frankly they’ve been getting on my nerves already the last couple weeks when they go out acting like they’re halle berry before the show even premiered. Chicks I swear!

What I wanna know is why they picked the chick with the most annoying voice to be the damn narrator… I’m at the premiere and the speakers are blairing in apollo theater and I thought I was going to die listening to her damn voice for an hour.

@EB I think “hating” is a term we all throw around too loosely. If we think the show is wack, we’re not “hating”, we just HATE IT. There are plenty of shows that don’t bore me to tears not found on the VH1 network. And Flav been played out.

So far I gotta give it to Brooke, she’s bad and in a very striking, unique way. I think Ashlie is prob pretty under her makeup and the bags under her eyes.

I too got tired of the Obama sermon. It was like watching a bunch of overgrown third graders recite their “What Obama Means to Me” essay before the camera. I’ll still watch because they’re young black and I’m starved to see my demo repped on camera!

I agree that the second show was better than the first. Was not feeling that “Election” show at all,. Everything seemed forced and fake. Nice change that the guy are really cute and the girls are eh. Looking forward to seeing more of this show. Hopefully, it gets better by the episode.

Its rare to find so many people from Harlem who say “like” in every other word LIKE on the Hills or Laguna Beach. Doesn’t Ashlie look like and have the same mannerisms as Lil Kim? Yeah Briana sure doesnt look like she’s in her 20s. And she ALWAYS has a bad attitude. I wonder if that’s scripted or is she always negative. Lol. The Harlem cat who loves to keep it real, yes, he belongs on Gs to Gents! It was so pathetic when he said to his young daughter “You motivate me.” She sat there puzzled asking what he meant and he responded, “You make me wanna get this money” I was wondering who talks like that to a child? Only an ignorant fool or someone using BET’s horrible scripts. I would like to think that’s BET’s fault. No one can be that ignorant. I saw another episode where he walked into Christian’s JOB to just hang out and talk. Who does that??? Meanwhile others were trying to work in their adjoining cubicles. Bridget’s voice is soooo annoying. I know she doesn’t say LIKE that much in real life. At least I hope not. That presidency countdown was so fake. No one did that. It seems like all Harlemites go out to drink every night according to the show. Yes, the black uplifting moments every other second are so contrived sometimes…Um..when do they ever go to church – since that is an important thing to do in Harlem, HELLOOOOO.
