Male Pot Belly models! Wow. If dove can have those “natural” lookin women commercials then I guess there can be room for some realistic everyday men advertisements. Seems like this world is sooo artificial…..Skinny is what’s up…skinny sizes is what’s plentiful in the stores…small shoes sizes are the majority…Hell, I come from a tall family with big feet. Though I wear a size nine shoes, my mother and sister both wear a size 11. The only time I heard someone major in Hollywood had big feet is when I read somewhere Paris Hilton wears a large shoe size. If one was to actually try and become everything society is screaming what is hot right now, they’d have to be made totally of plastic. (Though there are people actully getting close to that….)

I don’t enjoy looking at fashion as much because the girls are so unattractively skinny to me. They don’t fill out the clothes, the clothes droop & it doesn’t make me want to buy them at all. Show me how the garment looks on a real woman then I can get a better sense of how it will look on me. I find bodies like Khrysti Hill’s, Deelishus’, and Cherokee D’Ass most appealing. They have thickness and slimness in the right places. That’s just because I’m black!

Because deep down we still see straight hair as the ideal. No amount of dashiki wearing, brass ankhs, African history degrees, Kwanzaa celebrations can change this until we decide to deprogram the brainwashing. It’s a global thing, even in Africa they’re jealous of you if your hair is permed. When I was rocking dreds I sometimes got looks of pity, like they thought I must’ve been sad because my hair was nappy. Obviously I had low self-esteem because only straight haired chicks get play. In actuality, my dreds cut out a lot of bull. Only the real dudes stepped to me. The players did me a favor by not wasting my time. My dreds were super thick and lush, a look unachievable with permed hair. So, no I was not looking at permed haired girls some kind of way. I really didn’t care less, I was loving my wake up & go hair. They were the ones wishing they had the confidence to go natural and feeling self-conscious about not accepting themselves
