I’m far too smart and analytical to be offended from words

They are just words!

I can understand some people feelings getting hurt…maybe embarrassed to a small degree but not offended
…even with any of that it shouldn’t last that long or be taken that serious

What are the most offensive things you can call a guy?
Fag, Bitch, Gay, Loser, Slob, Ugly, Water head?

I’m all like: “Okay”

None of that effects me in any kinda way…most “offensive words” don’t even mean anything like curse words…they don’t mean anything!
Fag, what’s a fag? Cigarette?

A Bitch is a female Dog….hey Ugly is ugly but…okay, so you don’t think I’m attractive…since you’re calling me names odds are I m not tryin to impress or get with you anyway (or least not now) so who cares what you think?

These things only work in grade school where large numbers of people cannot form their own thoughts and opinions and want to go with whatever.

I have no idea why “cunt” is the universal disrespectful word for women…

Bitch, whore, slut bucket…really? Are we still calling names?
Fat, ugly, Big head…

You’re either calling people nothing because it means nothing, calling them a word that taken in its literal sense does not make sense
Or you’re calling them slang for a body part.

If you’re fat…you know you’re fat, so someone saying it shouldn’t offend or be a shock to you
…if you’re not nor don’t think you are then there you have it.

Beauty is subjective…there’s no clean cut you either look like this or you’re ugly type deal…so if someone is not attracted to you; oh the hell well

Everybody might not like yo mommas cookin…that doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste good to you.

NONE of which should make you feel any kinda way.

Call me Broke, or Uneducated, Homeless, or Stanky…those are worse…but even still:

If it’s true…it’s true; cannot be offended by that…it’s real
If it’s not true…it doesn’t apply to you so why waste the energy?

Stop with the grade school mentality and the acceptance or thoughts of others…if they know you they will be down if they don’t maybe they wont.

And you know what?… I am GLAD you posted this…cuz listen… one thing I tend to tell people is that words will only affect you if you LET them. My mom and I are very close, but the one thing that laways irks her is that while we are both passionate people, she likes to be deomnstrative while i am more relaxed with mine. So she sees that as a sign of either weakness or complacency. I always tell her that her biggest fault in MY eyes is that she cares TOO much about keeping up appearances or what OTHERS think about her, while she believes that I do not care enough, to which i ALWAYs respond…. there are CERTAIN people who’s opinion of me matter, if I am ever attacked by someone who is NOT one of these people, righ tor wrong, I take it with a grain of salt and keep it moving because i REFUSE for them to define who I AM. Now that being said, this post is right on. And I think that’s why you and I to some extent mesh a bit. we both know who we are and are assure of ourselves.

Example: I have a co-worker who is mad cool and we get along. But being of Jamaican descent (and yes, i KNOW not all Jamaicans are like this) he is super anti-homosexuals. to the point that he doesnt eat mayonnaise because of its white “semen” like texture or something. Seriously? come on now… if you are NOt gay, then get over it. if someone thinks I am gay, or calls me a fag, then thats on them to prove it. beause i can assure you that i am not, and have done nothing to prove otherwise.

I always tell my mom, if someone finds you important enough to break their back trying to undercut you, thank them for it, explain to them that despite your importance in their life, you cannot return the favor and it would be best if perhaps they found someone else to emulate and mimic because you cannot give them what they are looking for. I think this is a good way to let osmeone know that they arent important enough for you to carewhat they think about you. It is soooo much easier to be the bigger person than people imagine.

Now dont get me wrong. I stand up for mine. I am fiercely loyal, and a devote fighter. but there are times when it is better to not go down to someone elses level. there is a DISTINCT difference between someone attacking you physically and verbally. Words cannot hurt you, UNLESS YOU ALLOW THEM TO.
